New center teaches L.I.F.E. for people with disabilities


Young adults with developmental disabilities will find it easier to make the leap from high school to independent living at L.I.F.E. Academy in Milwaukee, Wis. Run by the Milwaukee Center for Independence, the Academy is housed inside Holy Trinity Church. Nancy Pickett, director of the center's L.I.F.E. Services, says the new location will help provide more specific services and social opportunities for young adults.
